July 28, 2025 - Traditional French Lavender Wands
Using freshly picked lavender, focus all your attention on weaving beautiful ribbon in and out of each stem to create a wand of lavender. These wands have been a tradition in southern France since the 17th century and have been used to scent linens.

August 4, 2025 - NC Corn shucking on the "front porch"
Did our ancestors ever get stressed out back in the day when they'd rock on the front porch and shuck corn for dinner? Or as they were nibbling away on the cob with butter dripping down their chin? Probably not... they were likely in the moment, enjoying the sunshine, fresh crunch, and the joy of something simple. Join us for an evening of relaxation as we shuck and eat fresh NC corn. You'll get to bring home what you shuck and enjoy a delicious buttered cob of corn.

August 25, 2025 - Mandalas of India, Nepal, and Tibet
The symmetrical repetition of mandalas easily lends itself to relaxation, peace, and flow. Mandalas represent the universe in its' ideal form, symbolizing unity, eternity, wholeness, and perfection. We will create a simplified version of a mandala, so you'll have enough time to complete a meaningful keepsake to bring home.

September 15, 2025 - Japanese Forest Bathing
We will take a nature walk together on the health park campus and bathe in the beauty of the forest, using all our senses to connect with nature and be in the present moment. We will collect bits and pieces of nature along the way that we will use to create a keepsake nature collage.

September 29, 2025 - Mexican "God's eyes"
Choose your favorite colors and begin the meditative weaving of "God's eyes", just like the good-old-days of summer camp. "Ojos de Dios" have been created throughout Peru, Mexico and Latin America. These weavings can represent the power to see and understand things unknown as well as the belief that God will watch over the maker of the "God's eye." This tradition can be traced back to the 1500s.
